We tackled 18 months in India and now after surviving "Life on the Other Side" we have relocated to Germany for a more civilized approach at married life. We don't know where the wind will take us, but we know we have each other and another wonderful opportunity to meet new people and explore new cities.

Deutschland Driving 101
This past week I have been taking "Deutschland Driving 101" from my husband. He has coached me through the meaning of most all of the signs and rules of German driving. An excellent coach as my driving skills are improving and our rental car has no dents in it yet. Learning to drive a stick shift with a rental car is wonderful as Ben doesn't cringe quite so bad when I grind the gears. Shifting up and driving fast on the autobahn is no problem for me, but down shifting needs some work. I took drivers ed at the age of 14 in South Dakota and have been driving ever since, but I never thought I would have to relearn everything all over again! The freedom of driving again is a wonderful feeling.
