102 F (39 C) in MARCH!

Lucky for us Delhi is having record breaking temperatures right now. We are set to be at 102 degrees (39 C) for the next week, which is warmer than any other town in India. I guess this is unseasonably warm for March. The even better news is that last summer Delhi was in the upper 40's C=115 F. They are telling me it is a dry heat like Phoenix, but I don't like Phoenix weather either. 1-4 pm I stay inside in the AC to avoid the blazing sun. I'm on the hunt for a good sun hat if anyone can point me in the right direction. The only thing I have seen thus far is Kentucky Derby hats and that will not do. In fifty years I can't be showing our grandchildren pictures of crazy grandma Jodi in India looking like a nut. Summer is only April-August with March and September being warmer too so really it is like all year. Good Times in India!

6 Months Down- 1 Year to Go!

An exciting time in India as we celebrate our first six months and recognize that we are down to less than a year to go. One never knows what the company may ask, but hopefully it is not more than a few months extra if we have to stay longer. We will just wait, have faith, and see where our next adventure will take us. Personally I'm just proud to say that I survived the first six months, I'm alive, I havn't gotten Delhi Belly, and overall we are good. I have grown so much in six months that I actually amaze myself. In September 2009, I wouldn't have believed that I would have participated and traveled to some of the places I have been in the last six months. I've shed my training wheels and am still standing. My survival and success can be credited to a social group called The Gurgaon Connection and my weekly Bible study group. I have had the priviledge to meet so many amazing woman from all over the world. It has really been fun from that aspect. Attached is a picture of my Bible study group, which is made up of woman from Japan, U.S.A., Sweden, Germany, Australia, U.K., and South Africa. A remarkable group of woman who are really helping me grow.
