We tackled 18 months in India and now after surviving "Life on the Other Side" we have relocated to Germany for a more civilized approach at married life. We don't know where the wind will take us, but we know we have each other and another wonderful opportunity to meet new people and explore new cities.

Hippie Attack AKA Reggae Jam
Currently the biggest names in Reggae music and their fans are moving into our area for a three day festival. Every year around 10,000 people invade Bersenbrueck for Reggae Jam. It draws in a unique crowd from the young kids who want to party, to the middle aged with kids, to the die hard reggae fans from all over the world.
This morning I had the honor of assisting one of the Reggae Jam artists in finding the garlic salt (Knoblauch) in the local grocery store. He didn't speak German and I was more than happy to help out. Just a few weeks ago the campground was a wheat field and now there are tents, cars, mobile homes, and Jamaican flags flying everywhere. How would you like to pitch a tent on wheat stubble?
To get a true feeling for the event take a look at their homepage and the official reggae jam trailor 2012 at http://www.reggaejam.de/
Last year I got to witness an evening of the action in person and was speechless. Our friends the Knabe's were in town visiting during the festival and are pictured below. Tabea and I tried our best to dress the part of weed smoking hippies and enjoyed fitting in with the native Reggae Jam fans. Personally I think it was my Jamaican Bobsled shirt that set me apart.

3 Years!
3 years ago today I stood infront of family and friends in Redfield, South Dakota and made a promise before God that I would love one man the rest of my life. It is the best decision that I have ever made and despite a crazy first three years of marriage I wouldn't have it any other way. I love you Benedikt Stabe!

6 Weeks!
Today it is exactly 6 weeks until Peanut is due. The excitement continues to build as each day passes. Will it be a boy or girl? Will he/she have dark hair like dad, brown hair like mom, or red hair like Grandma Linda? Everyday I have been reading about each step and stage of the pregnancy in the book, "The Day-By-Day Pregnancy Book." It has really been a great resource for questions and holds a person's attention with all of the amazing pictures. I would highly suggest the book for first time moms.

July 30th Garden Update
Our one random sunflower that grew voluntarily has bloomed. In addition I picked another helping of green beans, our first carrot, and a few more tomatoes. The ears are setting on the corn, but we will have to wait and see if we actually get to eat any home grown sweet corn. All in all I am glad that I planted a garden and that it is producing something. Next year I will lay things out a bit differently and reduce the number of tomato plants, however in general it was a great first year.
