We tackled 18 months in India and now after surviving "Life on the Other Side" we have relocated to Germany for a more civilized approach at married life. We don't know where the wind will take us, but we know we have each other and another wonderful opportunity to meet new people and explore new cities.

London
Our short get away to London was wonderful. A breath of fresh air for me to speak a little English. We enjoyed our 3 hour walking tour of London and tackled the rest by taking the bus. The public transportation will be put to the test for the Olympic games in 70 days, however they should have enough red buses running to handle most of it. I found the tube to be disappointing as I had it pictured in my mind as being very up to date. Instead I found an old, out of date, and slow running train system. Maybe I am spoiled by the wonderfully effecient and high speed German train system?
We attended a west end show called "Rock of Ages" featuring American music from the 80's. It was fabulous! Seeing Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, the London Eye, and the Parliament building were neat.I could definitely go back and spend a week in London just taking in all of the different areas. Covent Garden and Soho were my favorite areas packed with shopping, restaurants, and theatres. I am already dreaming of (planning out) my 2013 trip in my mind.
