The BIG 31

Wednesday I spent my birthday going to baby swim with Ella and enjoying 5 different types of cake with my wonderful husband. What more could a girl want? I spent the day remembering my 30th birthday in the German Alps and how much life has changed in one year. A year ago I knew I was pregnant, but I had no idea that such a sweet little girl was growing inside of me. An absolutely WONDERFUL year! To top the cake I finished the evening at my "Rebuild the Pelvic Floor Muscles" class. Nothing like making a girl feel young. I never told anyone all day it was my birthday because sometimes it is just fun to fly under the radar.

Our Little Valentine

A few pictures of Ella on her first Valentine's Day. Germany doesn't make a big deal out of Valentine's Day so the ladies at my Thursday morning breakfast group didn't even put it together that Ella and I were both wearing red. We set out to find a Valentine for dad after the breakfast group and we weren't even able to locate a card. The day ended with an early romantic dinner as a family and a Tupperware party for me. It was my first German Tupperware Party and was fun to compare the differences between US, Indian, and German Tupperware. My wonderful husband brought me a flower(s) for Valentine's Day. I truly appreciate that he has not lost his romantic side after 3 years of marriage. However, I was quite confused at first and had to ask the meaning behind the two onions (see attached picture), but then he informed me they are tulip bulbs and it is a gift that keeps giving. Genius!
